This image is the PSK31 Deluxe main program window. This is the Classic Display.

Main Menu and Toolbars - The Menu and Toolbars are shown at the top of the window. Many options are provided so that you can setup the program in a way that suits you best. Not all toolbars are necessarily displayed in this image.

Side Bar - This is displayed at the lefthand side of the window and in this case is displaying Macros that have already been defined. Macros consist of standard text that is used in QSO's.

Receive Window - This is the top half of the centre of the main window and is where received, decoded text will appear as the QSO progresses. There is a toolbar at the left of the display.

The grey and white vertical indicator at the far left is used to adjust the threshold of incoming signals. The black horizontal marker can be dragged higher or lower and signals below the level will not be decoded. Its relative strength of the incoming signal will be displayed at the top of the bar. In this case, the incoming signal is a relative 18 and the white bar indicates that it exceeds the current threshold setting.

The icon at the top, labelled Rx, erases all text in the Receive window. The icon below it, if enabled, ensures that received text is scrolled.

Transmit Window - This is the centre area of the main window and is where you will create your transmission text using either plain, typed text or Macros. There are eight small buttons available in this toolbar and I will treat them top to bottom, left column first.

Top Left button - Rewinds or Replays the soundcard contents.
Second Top Left button - Adds the current QSO to the Logbook.
Third Top Left button - Locks the TX Frequency.
Bottom Left button - Erases the Tx window.

Top Right button - Starts transmission. Same as F1 key.
Second Top Right button - Starts transmission, stops when all text is sent. Same as F2 key.
Third Top Right button - Stops transmission. Same as F4 or Escape keys.
Bottom Right button - Marks all text as Unsent.

Tags and Values - These are at the righthand side of the window and is where you will hold identifying information from the current QSO for later storage. For example, if you double click on the callsign or name from the receive window, you can paste into the tags. The information will be used for fields when the QSO is logged.

Waterfall - This is the large blue area which is displaying the received signal. Readable signals are displayed with white vertical bars. A single click on a signal will cause the program to start decoding it.

Spectrum - This is the green signal shown beneath the Waterfall and displays the received signal within the spectrum of around 3kHz. The bandwidth is customised via one of many Program Options.
